How to Watch MYTF1 Abroad: Access TF1+ Outside France
MYTF1 is now TF1+. If you are outside France, start by checking whether TF1+ is officially available where you are. The platform serves viewers in a number of countries beyond France, and you may be able to stream directly without a VPN. If your country is not supported, a VPN connection to France may change the location associated with your IP address, but TF1+ can still restrict a program or reject a VPN connection.
Check TF1+ availability before you connect
TF1’s Help Center says TF1+ is available in 26 countries, including France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, and markets in North and sub-Saharan Africa. Availability of channels and programs varies by country because of content-rights agreements, and the TF1+ mobile app may not appear in every country’s Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Check the current international availability list from TF1 before installing anything or buying a subscription.
There is a detail to verify if you plan to pay: TF1’s current terms and conditions, effective October 14, 2026, define eligible “Territories” somewhat differently from the Help Center’s 26-country list. For example, the Help Center includes Morocco while the terms’ territory definition does not. Confirm your exact country and Premium eligibility with TF1 before subscribing. The service’s terms also say the catalog is not guaranteed outside its defined territories.
Check TF1+’s country list before searching for an app or connecting through a VPN.
How to watch TF1+ abroad
1. Open TF1+ directly in a supported country
On a laptop or desktop, go to TF1.fr and choose a live channel or on-demand program. On a phone, tablet, or smart TV, install the TF1+ app only if it is available in your device’s official app store. TF1 lists computers, mobile devices, tablets, and compatible connected TVs among the supported screens; availability differs by country and device.
The site and program catalog can vary by country.
2. Sign in or create a TF1 account
Some features and programs may ask you to sign in. TF1 uses one account across TF1+, TF1 Info, and TFOU MAX; its help page says the account can be created with an email address and password. Select the sign-in or registration option on the TF1+ site or app and follow the on-screen steps. If a program is unavailable after you sign in, that can be a licensing restriction for your current country rather than an account problem.
Use your TF1 account to sign in where the service is available.
3. If you are outside a supported country, treat a VPN as a test—not a promise
If you decide to try a VPN, choose a provider that offers servers in France, install its official app on the device you will watch on, and connect to a French server. Then open TF1+ again in a browser or app and try the program. A VPN routes your connection through another server, so the site may see a French IP address. It does not change the program’s licensing rights, guarantee that a stream will play, or make TF1+ officially available in an unsupported country. The service may detect or block VPN addresses, and its terms say that content and Premium access are limited by territory. Follow your local laws and the platform’s current terms.
A French VPN endpoint may change your apparent IP location, but it cannot guarantee playback.
Fix common access problems
The app is missing: TF1 says its mobile app is not available in every country’s app store. Try the official website in a supported browser; avoid unofficial app downloads.
A title is blocked: Catalogs vary by country. Check the availability page or ask TF1 support whether that title is offered where you are; changing VPN servers may not solve a rights restriction.
The page or video will not load: Update your browser, refresh the page, and temporarily disable ad-blocking extensions. TF1’s troubleshooting guidance also recommends turning off a VPN and refreshing if cookie settings or playback are broken. If the problem continues, test a standard browser window and contact the TF1+ Help Center.
Traveling with TF1+ Premium?
Different rules apply to paid subscriptions. TF1 says subscribers who reside in France, Belgium, or Luxembourg can use Premium temporarily in another European Union member state for up to 30 days, subject to the applicable portability rules. Its support page says Premium is not available in the rest of the world for those travel cases. Read TF1’s current Premium travel guidance for your residence country and payment method.
In short, try the official TF1+ site first: MYTF1’s replacement service is already available in selected countries outside France. If it is not offered in your location, a French VPN connection may work for some streams, but it is not an official access guarantee and cannot override regional rights or subscription rules.
